THE WORD THERAPY

MY BODY, GOD’S TEMPLE

Our bodies are precious gifts from God, designed not only to carry us through life but also to glorify Him. Scripture reminds us in

1 Corinthians 6:19 that “your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;” (NIV)

This truth calls us to take care of our health intentionally. One powerful yet simple way to do this is through fresh juices; consuming natural fruit and vegetable juices that provide nourishment, refreshment, and healing.
When we take care of our bodies through wise dietary choices, we are honoring God. Eating and drinking healthily is a form of stewardship, it allows us to remain strong and available for the work God has called us to do. Just as we would not neglect or defile a physical church building, we should not neglect the “temple” God has entrusted to us: our bodies.

Physical Benefits of Fresh Juicing
Nourishment:
Juices are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that strengthen the immune system and keep the body energized.

Cleansing & Healing: Fresh juices like beetroot, cucumber, and lemon support detoxification, cleansing the body from within.
Hydration & Vitality: Since the human body is largely made of water, juices replenish and hydrate us, keeping our systems functioning well.
Disease Prevention: Regular intake of juices boosts heart health, improves digestion, and helps fight free radicals that cause premature aging.

I would also love to share one of my favorite juice recipes:

Carrot-Apple-Ginger Juice (The Glow Juice): This juice is rich in beta-carotene (for healthy
eyes and skin), vitamin C (for immunity), and ginger (for digestion and anti-inflammation). It’s like drinking a cup of God’s sunshine!
Ingredients (1–2 servings):

  • 4 medium carrots (washed, not peeled if organic)
  • 2 medium apples (any sweet variety)
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger root
  • ½ lemon (optional, for extra zing)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and chop carrots, apples, and ginger into juicer-friendly pieces.
  2. Run them through your juicer.
  3. Stir well and serve immediately.

Pro Tips for Incorporating Fresh Juicing

  • Choose organic fruits and vegetables where possible.
  • Keep a balance of fruits and vegetables (too much fruit may add excess sugar).
  • Drink juices fresh for maximum nutrients.
  • See juicing as a supplement, not a replacement for whole foods and fiber.
  • Practice moderation, remembering that true health is holistic body, soul, and spirit.

Finally, as you begin to incorporate fresh juices into your lifestyle, remember it’s not just about health trends, but about stewardship. Every sip can be an act of gratitude to God, a step toward wholeness, and a way of honoring your body as His temple. Start small, stay consistent, and let the benefits remind you of God’s abundant provision.
